Tommy's News Mischke makes a rare appearance to deliver the news at the top of the hour. 1:24

Roger. Over. In the midst of a conversation, Tommy suddenly "spazzes out" and ends up breaking his headphones. He wants to complete the call, so he and the caller have to improvise and finish their conversation in the style of a couple of truckers -- using their CB radios. 5:57

At Least He Didn't Say No A man is surprised when his lover suddenly asks him to marry her. But the lady ends up being even more surprised when her lover responds by shooting her to death. Tom thinks this is most unfortunate, but on the bright side, he realizes that at least the guy didn't say no. 3:33

I Drink Diet Coke It turns out that the average Diet Coke aficionado is better educated and more affluent than other soft drink consumers. 3:19

Kenny Olson Exposed! All of the AM1500 radio personalities have suddenly come to realize that there is a traitor amongst them -- and that traitor is none other than our meek and humble traffic guy -- Kenny "Roadside" Olson. 27:52 Special thanks to Rosemary for the "Garage Logic" portions of this clip!

Where's Joe?! In the midst of an intellectually stimulating conversation, Mischke and Joe are suddenly disconnected. Thankfully, Mischke keeps his head and turns to his friends at Directory Assistance to help reconnect with Joe. But -- sadly -- during the process, Mischke stumbles upon a disturbing case of "operator abuse". 10:01

The Hitler Brothers In a shocking turn of events, it turns out that Adolf Hitler is alive and well and living in America. 7:36 By the way, this clip is not a bit. Oddly enough, the Fuhrer has some relatives that are quietly living out their lives in the United States...

A Dirty Little Secret The tobacco industry is back to their old dirty tricks with subliminal advertising. 3:11

You're a Stupid Idiot You better eat at Moscow on the Hill because if you don't -- well -- you're a stupid idiot. 2:45

Interview with the Vampire In the state of Minnesota, we have a vampire running for governor and -- oh yeah -- it turns out his girlfriend is a witch. Not long after Mischke interviewed this fellow, he was jailed on stalking charges and then it was discovered that he had staged his own death over a year ago. 19:33

Working Hard or Hardly Working? The Mischke Broadcast attracts a "different" sort of caller. 3:26

A Simple Misunderstanding A poor fellow just wants to talk with his ex-girlfriend, but ends up accidentally killing her new lover. These things happen. 6:30

I Live in a Ditch A guy sets out to prove that man can live without all the modern conveniences of life. Mischke just wishes the guy would have talked to him first -- so he wouldn't have had to waste his time. Mischke has lived in nothing more than a ditch for most of his life. 2:12

Rickie Lee Jones A caller is obsessed with trying to get Tommy to attend an upcoming Rickie Lee Jones concert. He has called in a few times about the event, but Tom plays dumb, just to mess with the guy's head. 1:47

My Perky Peep Show Playmate A newlywed is a little concerned that his wife continues to have "friendships" with numerous male companions. 2:52

McDonalds Requires Patience A young lady walks through a McDonald's drive-thru and ends up with nothing but trouble. But, come to think of it, her "walking drive-thru" travails should be the least of her concerns... 4:42

A Coach's Tirade A coach grows weary of his players' half-hearted efforts and has finally had enough. 2:12

All Better Now A lady is bitten by her boss' dog, but luckily, her boss is a healer and she should be back to normal in no time. 3:43

Too Depressed The solution to Tommy's little depression bug-a-boo is right in front of him, but he's just a little too depressed to help himself. 1:00

Garage Logic In a surprising turn of events, the Mischke Broadcast suddenly (and inexplicably) morphs into Garage Logic with Joe Soucheray. 5:20

Missing Ma Bell Tommy tries to make a simple phone call and it turns out to be more of a chore than he ever expected. 4:45

The Classifieds Mischke peruses the thrifties and finds some very odd things for sale. He then proceeds to make a few phone calls and tries to figure things out. 7:58

A Ron Rosenbaum Rant Mischke is uncomfortable with a caller making use of his show to beat up on fellow talk show host Ron Rosenbaum. To make things a little fairer, Tom decides to give a call to Ron himself -- just to give Mr. Rosenbaum the opportunity to defend his honor. 14:01

Fat Tuesday ABC News has a little fun at New Orleans' expense. 0:47

Don't Nobody be Knockin' on this Mother F**king Door!! In his younger days, Tommy lived in some questionable parts of the neighborhood. One night, after a few cocktails, he decided he would head out and make the acquaintance of a few of the neighbors. 3:11

Hard to Poop, Papa! This is just a hilarious (but odd) clip where Tommy is imitating his two year old son and his "little problem". If you have kids, this strange little story might make some sense. 0:54

God's on First Abbott and Costello make a rare appearance on the Broadcast. 11:02

Send in the Social Workers Some little girls are up a little too late for a school night. 0:35

The Amazing Anvil Mischke interviews a fellow with a super nice collection of anvils. Yes -- you heard me -- anvils. 19:21

Government Surveillance -- it's for our own Good. The U.S. Government explains why it needs to spy on its citizens, but Tommy doesn't buy the reasoning. The tradeoff of safety versus freedom just doesn't seem to be worth it. 4:00

No Expectations An extremely brief call with no expectations. 0:06

The Squirrel War A man goes to extremes to keep squirrels out of his bird feeders. 2:49

You Really Better Go with Homestead For your next mortgage, go with Homestead or else not only will you pay too much -- but you'll also be beaten, electrocuted and tortured -- and that's just for starters... 3:17

Tommy and Tom with the News This is a bottom of the hour newscast with Tom Garrison. It is an interesting segment because Tom and Tom reminisce about old radio personalities and discuss the (then) current crisis in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina. 7:09

An Excellent Argument for Call Screening Due to technical problems in the control room, Mischke is forced to take several calls cold. It soon becomes obvious why there is such as a thing as a "call screener" in the first place. 2:49

Glorious Victorious It looks like Roz has a sister. 2:37

Brotherly Love A woman makes an unfortunate discovery when she finds her husband in bed with her brother. Thankfully, there is a perfectly logical explanation behind the whole thing. 4:05

What's the Frequency Kenneth? Tommy gives a call to a rather interesting fellow who likes to put some strange ads in the classifieds. I believe this could be Roz's brother. 9:40

Teddy Bears Take a Holiday Mischke would like to meet the freaks who send their stuffed teddy bears on their own vacations -- what the hell is wrong with them?! 2:17

Pranking the Family Good ol' Mom has a little fun at the kids' expense. 6:01

The Scary Pope Turns out that the new Pope has some sort of freak fetish that involves scaring little kids half to death. 2:58

Treating Depression Tom explores some of the strange remedies used to treat depression. 3:49

Mutilating Barbie There's an unfortunate downside to being the most popular doll in the world. 6:19

A Devious Disclaimer Mischke chimes in during a "small" disclaimer at the end of an ad. 0:30

Fredding A new past time takes America by storm. 4:08

The Ideal Woman Researchers have discovered what makes for the ideal woman. Oddly enough, today's ideal woman is very similar to what you found in the Bible thousands of years ago. What's even more odd, is that the Bible actually appears to have defined what made for a "hot chick" back in the days of Jesus. 5:45

The Dog Whisperer Mischke pines for the day when you can sit down with your dog and have some meaningful one-on-one conversations. 8:39

It's Raining Frogs Sure it might be raining frogs, but there's a perfectly rational explanation behind the whole thing... 3:19

How Far is too Far for Homestead Mortgage? Mischke has done some of the most strangest, wildly "out there" commercials for Homestead Mortgage over the years. Ads where people are shot, maimed, threatened, beaten, and most any other horrible thing you can think of. Despite all this, Mischke has never received a complaint from Homestead -- where the company feels he might have gone a little too far. This makes Tommy begin to wonder, just what in the world does he need to do in order to get a complaint from Homestead? 5:26

Getting Even A teen feels more than slighted by his parents, so he decides to get even.  Unfortunately for the teen, his parents manage to get even for his attempts to get even.  Looks like life is just a downward spiral from here. 4:05

Special Note: If anyone out there has some recordings of the show that Tom Mischke and Don Vogel used to put out together, I would love to grab a copy if at all possible I was a big fan of The Afternoon Saloon and never got the chance to hear Tommy and Don working together I think that must have been an incredible show Just click on this webmaster link to send me an e-mail.

Or, if you'd rather just talk to Mischke about some of the sound bytes above, or about weather in Buckman, Minnesota, or about how grass makes a different sound when you walk on it at varying temperatures, or just about anything else--you can click on the T.D. Mischke link to send him an e-mail.
